This project, a private home overlooking a golf course, began with Oliver Steer Interior Design bringing more light to the master bedroom and led to the large formal drawing room being taken from an inherited scheme of safe beiges and creams to a more striking and personal design for the client.
The neutral bedroom walls and carpet are complemented by a headboard and curtains in a red toile, with a mixture of wood and painted furniture accessorised with crystal lamps with gold lined shades.
The en suite features warm marble, with new floor tiles that radically update the appearance and soft white paintwork enhancing the delicate toile wallpaper.
In the drawing room pale pink and green striped wallpaper and delicate embroidered silk curtains contrast with checked upholstery on the wing chairs and a formal damask on the sofa. The oppressive fireplace and shelving were neutralised by painting in harmony with the rest of the woodwork enabling prominence to be given over to the client's collection of oil paintings.
I have used Oliver Steer Interior Design on a number of occasions for projects at my home address. These have ranged from small projects to begin with, through to larger projects, including the complete redesign of my Drawing Room and the Master Bedroom.
I have always found their work to be of the highest standard. Oliver\'s attention to detail and the depth of his knowledge of the materials to be used is exceptional. He also has an excellent understanding of what is required structurally, because of his architectural background, which gives the customer a great deal of confidence that his designs will work.
The projects carried out at my property have always been well managed and the service given by the company has always been efficient and professional.
I would have no hesitation in continuing to use their service.
