Traditional Case Study 4

Traditional Case Study 4
Status: Completed December 2011

Brief

Our client wanted to create a formal drawing room for entertaining away from the more informal family rooms in the house. This room was as a games and snooker room for their children and had become more redundant as they had grown up. While still a young family, we wanted to reflect this by using playful elements together with more traditional features to reflect our client's tastes.

Bookcases and a chimney breast with stone fire surround were added to improve the spatial arrangement of the room and a number of antique pieces of furniture were sourced to balance the old and the new.

In addition we were asked to redecorate the cloakroom to complete this part of the house. Oliver chose a playful hand blocked wallpaper for the walls and ceiling to compliment the oversized mirror and wash basin.

Testimonial

Excellent Service. I shall definitely use Oliver Steer Interior Design in the future.
