Oliver Steer Interior Design undertakes both residential and commercial projects where the service is carefully tailored to client requirements.
Restorations pay particular attention to the historic fabric of the building and have included stately homes, Victorian priories, and Georgian manor houses. The function, spaces, and styles of an older property have often become confused over time. Oliver Steer Interior Design seeks to clarify the design of these homes to create a harmonious and consistent style suitable for 21st century living, sensitively designed within period architecture.
Commercial projects include offices, hotels, housing developments, retail, and cultural buildings, often combining these elements on one site.
Office developments achieve both functional and spatial design tuned to a company brand and budget. For the developer, designs maximise floor areas for rental yield.
Hotel projects range from boutique hotels to groups, providing a design balance between hotel identity and marketing, room sizes, and features appropriate for the market, in order to ensure guest satisfaction and comfort.
Housing developments are designed and staged to ensure that customers can visualize themselves within the new space to increase sales potential.
Retail units are designed to maximise sales through carefully considered design, responding to merchandising whilst reinforcing the retail brand.
Cultural buildings including churches and art galleries demand a highly strategic response to complex briefs, often in consultation with a panel of trustees and local residents.
Our in house Commercial Project Coordinator and Architects ensure that all necessary regulations are adhered to throughout the concept, design, tender and construction phases.
Our fees are carefully constructed to provide total transparency and professional services to our clients from the outset.
Design fees are calculated on the cubic metreage of a space and all furnishings and materials are supplied to our clients at the trade price with a small handling charge levied for coordination of orders and services. This avoids concerns about time billing and retail prices and ensures total transparency.
For the design fee, we will produce full furnishing schemes, floor plans and working drawings, estimates for all associated furnishings and works and a presentation board for each room. We can also produce full colour computer images of the proposed rooms to help our clients visualise the end result.
The handling fee levied on goods and services provides our client with full coordination of orders, accounts and onsite management. You will also receive our full after care support package should there be any problems or items damaged during delivery and our design team will set up the furniture for you to complete the package.
As part of a multidisciplinary practice Oliver Steer Interior Design and Architects provides full architectural services managing projects from initial concepts, obtaining local authority approvals and managing works onsite through to completion. We provide a bespoke service ensuring an individually tailored package to meet the client’s requirements for a suitable and competitive rate in line with the guidelines of the ARB and the RIBA. To maintain our high quality service and guiding the client through the stages of the projects development we assume the responsibility of personal advisor and agent to the client, as well as project manager and principle point of contact for all works, relieving you of the hassle and ensuring the finished works meet the client’s expectations and our professional standards.
